Local 107.3 is hiring!

Program Coordinator

June 20 – October 8, 2011 (16 weeks)
30 hours/week @ $12/hour

Campus Radio Saint John Inc (CFMH-FM), a non-profit campus/community radio station located on the UNB Saint John campus, is hiring one (1) individual to work during the noted time period to coordinate “Vested Interest,” a volunteerism radio program. With an emphasis on finding and working with grass-roots volunteer organizations, the coordinator will assist them in telling their stories (and why they have a vested interest in our community) in a weekly radio program. The volunteer agencies will be provided with air-time provided they program the slot. We would like to encourage discussion on important topics ranging from homelessness, teen pregnancy, seniors’ facilities, animal welfare, and more.

The coordinator will be provided with the same training that we conduct with all volunteers and DJs. The coordinator will also be trained to provide this information to the volunteer organizations that are involved in the subsequent broadcasts. We would like these organizations to take as much ownership of their chosen slot as possible and, as such, would like them to be trained as DJs.

Deadline for application: June 10, 2011. Interviews will be conducted the week of June 13-17 with the position starting on June 20. Please send a cover letter and resume by e-mail or regular post.

Not only is Aucoin returning for make-up dates this week (Thursday in Fredericton, Friday in Saint John), but now you can score some free tickets for the SJ gig!

If you’d like to win tickets to see Rich and friends at Pepper’s Pub on May 27, head over to the show’s Facebook event and post a clip of your favourite 3D movie on the event wall. Winners will be announced on Thursday. Happy dancing!
