Arts Connect November 5, at InterAction School of Performing Arts

Arts Connect mixes dance, painting, film & poetry Saturday evening at Interaction School of Performing Arts.

The former Germain Street Baptist Church will host a performance by Connection Dance Works and feature a triptych of paintings by Paul Mathieson, a documentary film by John Marshall, as well as poetry by Lorne Power.

On a personal note, I spent many hours during my years at Simonds High School covered in paint in (now retired) teacher Paul Mathieson’s classroom. His characters unsettle me because they are at once grotesque and ordinary, their expressions running across a catalogue of emotions. Needless to say I love that feeling.

This fantastic collaboration begins at 7PM. Tickets are 10$ at the door and can be purchased in advance by contacting
