Can anyone who knows the city please recommend 1) a nice place around the downtown area to buy some lunch, and 2) other nice places around the downtown area (book stores, music stores, parks, etc. ) to kill a couple of hours? Thanks! |

Food: If it were still open, I would say the Dandelion cafe on Spring Garden, but it's not I don't think. Therefore, THE ECONOMY SHOE SHOP CAFE...Awesome atmosphere and delicious food. I think it's on Argyle...anyway, this is one of my favs. Music: Taz records on Argyle CD PLUS on Barrington (There is also another great used music store across from this one but I forget the name), Sam the Record Man on Barrington, HMV on Spring Garden Road, Shopping: The Black Market...off of spring garden (I think it's Grafton Street) - Cool insense, jewelery, serongs, stickers, art, whatever The Freak Lunchbox (barrington street) - AWESOME CANDY STORE Junk and Foibles (barrington street) - awesome vintage clothes The Book Room (Barrington) - A book room. Lots of books and magazines. Spring Garden Road has some great shopping, including the mall, so just walk down it and then turn right onto Barrington..it will keep you occupied. Enjoy! |
