What video card do you have?

If it is an ATI, then Right click on your desktop and go to "Properties". Nest click ton the "Settings" tab at the top of the menu that appears. Then click on the "Advanced" button down toward the bottom right side.

Now look for a "Display" or "monitor" tab. It should be in there. You will have to have the SVideo or Composite cable connected to the vid card and to your source (i.e. TV) in order to switch inputs.

Hope this helps and if not, please post back.

the bunk - from what i can see on the displays/monitors tab is that it's for outputs. i don't see anyway to switch the input (and still use my LCD)

Have you tried running ATI's Capture program? Should have came free with your vidcard. If not, go to ATI's website, download it and install it. Then try to check for inputs. This should work.
